Workshops and Stores

SINTEC ETHIOPIA owns two workshops and stores in Addis Ababa. These are Gurd Shola workshop and Kotobe workshop

Gurd Shola workshop located at Yeka Sub-City Woreda 8 has a 1250 square meters and of covered area, six meters clear height and has two bays with 10 and 5 ton bridge crane going along the full length. A consumables store of 100 m2
Kotebe WoSINTEC ETHIOPIA is a Private Limited Company established under the law of Ethiopia with a paid up capital of Birr 8,500,000.
SINTEC ETHIOPIA currently holds three operating licenses which include
Import and Commission Agency licenses that enables it to import materials and consumables for its own and clients use and represent foreign suppliers

SINTEC ENERGY is established for the primary purpose of providing focused and specialized services in the areas of energy and electrical engineering.
The staffs of SINTEC ETHIOPIA are a group of carefully selected engineers
technologists
sub-professionals, who have had considerable experience in government offices and the industry

SINTEC ETHIOPIA occupies a modern office building attached to its main workshop at Gurd Shola.
A ground plus two office building with all social amenities and fully furnished with latest office support facilities such as computers, E-mail, fax photocopiers.

Our computers, which consist of lap tops and desk top PCs are equipped with the latest word processing and auto-cad facilities and other enginering softwares Workshops and Stores SINTEC ETHIOPIA owns two workshops and stores in Addis Ababa.

These are Gurd Shola workshop and Kotobe workshop

Gurd Shola Central Workshop
SINTEC ETHIOPIA has built on a new site in an area known as Gurd Shola and has completed the construction of a central workshop, store and office building for its engineering activities.
The new site has a 1250 square meters of workshop area and an office space of 350 square meters. The workshop has two bays with 10 and 5 ton bridge crane going along the full length.

Kotobe Workshop
The second workshop is situated at the out-skirts of Addis Ababa in the area known as Kotebe.
The workshop has an area of about 24,000 square meters and has 4000 square meters developed as working area. The workshop building covers an area of 400 square meters and has a working height of 6 meters.
This workshop is fitted with all types of stationary machines for metalworking.
It has in the same site three stores of over 200 square meters for storage of different class of goods. area known as Kotebe. The workshop has an area of about 24,000 square meters and has 4000 square meters developed as working area. The workshop building covers an area of 400 square meters and has a working height of 6 meters.
This workshop is fitted with all types of stationary machines for metalworking. It has in the same site three stores of over 200 square meters for storage of different class of goods.

Equipment and tools

Stationary Equipment:
SINTEC ETHIOPIA within its two workshops has a wide range of light and heavy-duty machinery for all mechanical and Electrical Fabrication. These can be grouped as follows:

1* Metal working machinery for metal bending, rolling, shearing, cutting, punching, forming, and joining. These general consist of guillotine shears, cross cut saw, hydraulic and electric motor driven, power hack saws, eccentric presses, iron worker, brake press, radial drill and milling machines to name a few. The facilities are fitted with machine to cut sheets of up 16 mm in lengths of 6, meters, rolling of up to30 mm thick in three meters and press brake of seven meters length and 400tons capacity. 2* Welding machines for steel, cast iron, aluminum and stainless steel This consists of manual metal arc

3* welders ac/dc transformers and rectifiers spot welders, MIG welders, TIG welders, Pulse TIG welders, Oxy-Acetylene gas welders, powder spray equipment and solders.

4* Pipe working equipment for cutting, bending and threading consisting of manual and hydraulic

5* Benders up to 4". Manual and electric cutting and threading machine for sizes of up to 4".

6* Tin smith equipment: this group of equipment is used for forming, bending, rolling, cutting, trimming, punching, and seaming of thin metals SINTEC ETHIOPIA is also in the process of acquiring equipment for submerged arc welding. Welding generator petrol powered both in dc and ac versions are among the specialized equipment. A full list is enclosed in the annex. Equipment Mobile SINTEC ETHIOPIA owns and operates mobile equipment for handling of machinery and goods. These include mobile crane of 25 tons with a reaching height of 28 meters, a 6-ton forklift, a 7 tons crane truck, telescopic fork lift of 3 tons capacity with a reaching height of 11 meters two 35 tons mid trucks. And a two-axle trailers for the transport of Construction materials on site cable drums. Three double cabin vehicles for the transport of goods and staff.

Tools and Accessories: SINTEC ETHIOPIA owns a wide range of tools consisting of personalized toolboxes for mechanics, plumbers, electricians, welders, carpenters, a wide range of common tools for electricians, mechanics, plumbers, welders and fitters. In addition the company has Material handling and safety equipment for lifting, pulling, transporting, jacking and leveling. On site erection tools such as ladders of all sizes and types, scaffolding, stationary and on wheels, safety hoists winches and sheaves. A list is shown in the annex.
